2025 Board Nominations Due November 1, 2024
The Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for its Board of Directors. We are seeking business and community leaders committed to serving a three-year term, beginning January 1, 2025. The elected board will review and evaluate nominations to ensure alignment with the Chamber's strategic goals and a true representation of our business community.
Eligible nominees will undergo a selection and voting process led by the Nomination Committee, chaired by Karl Dorsey, Partner at Nichols, Cauley & Associates, LLC, Executive Board Member, and Interim Chairman for 2024. To be considered, nominees must be active members in good standing with the Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce, demonstrate strong leadership, be engaged, communicate effectively, and be committed to advancing the Chamber’s mission.

Expectations:
Service on the Alpharetta Chamber Board of Directors involves attending scheduled monthly meetings, and special meetings that require your participation, commitment to one strategically focused Chamber committee, visibly representing the Board of Directors at Chamber events, business community engagements, and roundtable discussions that provide an opportunity to share the Chamber’s mission, vision, and goals.
Commitment: Three (3) year commitment, eligible for second (3) year term, attend at least (8) Board meetings.
Mission Statement:The mission of the Alpharetta Chamber is to promote a vibrant business climate and economy while enhancing the quality of life within the surrounding community.
1. Commitment to the Mission: Please describe your (the nominee’s) commitment or experience relevant to the Chamber’s mission and why you feel you (the nominee) would be a valued member of the Board of Directors.
2. Expertise and Group Affiliations: Please describe your (the nominee’s) chamber, civic, business, and/or other committee involvement, experiences, and board affiliations (current or previous). Please indicate the name of the organization, your assignment or position, and briefly describe areas of responsibility.
3. Personal Achievements: Please describe three accomplishments that you are most proud of in your work or volunteer efforts creating positive community impact.Please keep in mind the time commitment and service involved when nominating yourself or another individual as a potential Board member.
4. References: References are not required but encouraged. If you include a reference(s) please provide contact name, name of the business or organization, contact information and any other relevant information you would like to provide.
