U.S. Department of Labor Guidance on the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)

Deborah Lanham News

Charlie Feehan of Abacus Advisers offers this information on guidance on some key elements of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) from the U.S. Department of Labor:

One of the notable portions of the guidance provides two posters (one for federal workers and one for all other employees) that will provide all the information all employers are required to provide employees.

The poster for federal employees is here.

The poster for all other employees is here.

Additionally, there is a FAQ that can be found here.  Some highlights:

  • Employers must post this in a conspicuous place on its premises.  It can also be emailed to employees or posted on an employee information internal or external website.
  • All employers are required to post or deliver this notice.

We believe it is in your best interest to share this information with employees for several reasons:

  • It is the law.
  • During times like these, clear, consistent and frequent communication is a great way to keep anxiety levels as low as possible.
  • Employees are hearing about the FFCRA but probably do not know anything about the facts.  This will help them see what is and is not available to them through FFCRA,

Lastly, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.  We want to help in any way we can.

Stay safe and stay well.
